Become a Leader

The FSMB relies on the expertise, creativity and commitment of its elected leaders to strengthen the organization’s long-term vision and mission. The FSMB Board of Directors is comprised of leaders from the field of medical regulation that are passionate about protecting the public and serving their communities. By serving on the Board of Directors, individuals have the opportunity to help drive the strategy and direction of a nationally respected organization with a critical role in healthcare.

Nominations for elected positions are accepted beginning in the fall of each year. Only Board Member Fellows* of the FSMB are eligible to run for elected offices.

*A Board Member Fellow is an individual member who as a result of appointment or confirmation is designated to be a member of a Member Medical Board. A Board Member Fellow shall be a Fellow of the FSMB during the member’s period of service on a Member Medical Board, and for a period of thirty-six months thereafter.
